Bluegrass Minis Event Reminder

Lexington Concours d'elegance at Keeneland.
Date: August 27th, 2005

"Come to the 2nd annual Concours D'Elegance at Keeneland on August 27th, 2005 and view one of the most spectacular displays of the automobile in North America. Featured Marque for 2005 is the Mercedes-Benz."

There are 3 areas of presentation to enjoy.
Concours - A judged competition for 100 pristine cars of excellence
Cars of Interest - This area will contain some of the most exotic, rare, and unique cars in the Midwest.
Car Club Paddocks - These Paddocks exhibit the automotive obsessions of local owners who are dedicated to their marque of interest. (This would be Bluegrass Minis!)

Admission is $20 per person and it must be paid in advance to the Concours (not me). You can register online at www.lexingtonconcours.com or you can print off a registration form from the website and mail in a check. After you register, please send me a note to let me know as I need to keep track of how many we're bringing.
Paddock area assignment for car clubs will be based on the number of cars pre-registered as of August 15th, 2005. Please register by this date.

Has there been any discussion of a schedule during the day when BGM members will congregate?

We do plan on meeting and driving over together. I will call tomorrow and confirm the time that we need to be there and get an email out to everyone detailing the times and meeting place.

 

I spoke with Leisha with the Concours today. The show opens to the public at 9 AM. They will be open at 7 AM for participants. I thought if we met at the Palomar Shopping Center at 7:45 AM and left there no later than 8 AM we would be there in time to enter, get parked and get the cars wiped off. Please let me know if you have any other ideas. You can register on Saturday. You will have to wait in line is the only drawback.
