NEM? (non european motoring)

After all the hassle the last time, I think we'll probably keep the name the way it is. Anyhow, good to see some activity in the NAM Australia forum, sorry that other factors are driving that though.

MAM? (mini aussie motoring) Fat chance huh!?
Yes, the external factors are quite sad but I for one am happy about it in a way, as it has brought more of the Aussies over to this great place. I hope they will all enjoy it for a long time to come, as I have been...

Yup. Sydney boy.
From Cambloun (Campbelltown for the non-Westies).

I'll trade shipping on MINI parts to Aus for VB and some cds that I can't find in the US. And my wife wants Tim-tams. I prefer Mint slices myself.

I think I remember reading through a thread ages ago where you mentioned that you are an Aussie too, now living in the US... correct?

VB would be REAL cheap to ship...

When I was living in Canada I managed to get the 12th man mailed up from sanity.com.au

dunno if that helps you on the CD front....

So where you livin' in the US?

Hi, well it was kind of like a Bar Room brawl so we all got kicked out, just because of a few idiots. Anyway I think they have now fixed the broken chairs and tables and we are now allowed back in.

Thanks for the use of your boards for the last couple of days, we'll be back soon for another visit

Tit, I could be persuaded to buy your ALTA off you if you like. After all it is the communal CAI of the Australian MINI community.

I have to say, I really like the idea of the Pulse option. Would be really cool if you could set it up to watch a particular forum such as this one

I was thinking more like old Aussie bands...Uncanny X-Men, old Chisels, Radiators, new Choirboys, stuff like that.

Where? Vegas baby!

I just had a visit from Greg from Queensland (drives an early PS MCS) who was coming through Vegas on a ConTiki tour. Showed him a little of Vegas off the Strip.

I believe you can set up to be emailed whenever a new post or new thread is made in a particular room.

Delivery boy

Hey Agro, i'll bring some cd's over for you if you like. I'll be heading over in 4 weeks. However, i'm only gonna be in San Francisco, so you'd have to come and pick 'em up. It's not too far though right, good excuse for a drive...

I took Greg Sherwood (aka "snoopy" online) to lunch when he was in Los Angeles and we drove down the coast through Palos Verdes Peninsula, over the Vincent Thomas Bridge to Long Beach and down to Seal Beach.

I also drove him to my dealership, Long Beach MINI. Although they weren't open for sales (they get Sunday off to go motoring), there were plenty of MINIs on the lot which THRILLED him!

I'll see him again in a few weeks when he goes to the MINIs On The Dragon Meet in North Carolina! Very nice guy!

Unfortunately, the timing is not so good for me to drive to SF. You sure you don't want to come to Fabulous Las Vegas? And bring some VB with you?

I don't think I could be trusted with all that sweet beer!!

I am seriously contemplating hiring a car though (wish you could rent a MINI ), maybe a V8 Mustang's more appropriate for that authentic experience. I've been told there's no better way to explore this great land - drive down Highway One to Monterey, check out Yosemite and Kings Canyon, drive over the Golden Gate Bridge! L.V. could be a bit far as i'm only there 5 days but i'll keep you posted...

Yeah, Vegas is the best part of a full day's drive each way from SF I think.

Maybe next time.

Depends where you are, and where you're talking about. And Aus is on daylight savings time when the US isn't.
Right now it's 8:30am US West Coast time on Thursday, and it's 1:30am on Friday in Sydney.
US summer time, Aus standard time, Sydney is 15 hours ahead of LA and Las Vegas.
