Hi. I'm from Manila having a 2-day Convention here in Singapore. May i know where are the Mini stores in Singapore? Might be able to go there after 5pm though. :(

Might now have that much in stock to see. I think they are pushing the MINI One.

Sad i missed it though. Very tight sched. Arrived Singapore Sunday night. Attended conference Monday and Tuesday. Left for Jakarta Tuesday night. Went back to Singapore Wednesday night. Looked forward to going to the store your recommended today, Thursday. Store is closed today due to the Memorial holiday. :( Too bad as i will be heading back to Manila tomorrow morning. Will try my luck some other time.

By the way, i'm just looking for accessories. Are the prices of MCS accessories fairly priced here in Singapore?

 

Apart from MINI Habitat (the official dealer), which Minihume recommended, I would recommend either JuzzforCars (see wwww.juzzforcars.com) or Eng Soon (though they don't have a shop per se, only a counter so you need to know what you want before hand) for original MINI and aftermarket parts and accessories. The prices are fair, but many of us in Singapore sometimes find cost savings ordering over the internet from stockists in the US.

I spoke to a few MINI owners in Singapore and internet sources offer better selection and service.

In Singapore the number of MINIs is very small compared to the total number of vehicles so since the market for accesories is small there isn't much to choose from.

I would think Japan or maybe the Philippines would be better. Otherwise NAM vendors seem to be reliable and friendly source of upgrades in this area.

 

I'd rule out Japan. I was in and around Tokyo for 3 weeks and went and had a look at some of the MINI vendors and specialists. It's frightfully expensive compared to prices over the internet + shipping. I'm lusting after a saclam exhaust system (made in Japan and absolutely exquisite welding) for my MCS but it's just too much dough.

 

That's probably true- prices way too high although there are some pretty fancy upgrades.

Too bad England is so far away. They have MINI meets outdoors with plenty of old and newer MINIs that are highly modified.

Wish we had a simple way to drive to a resort. Right now our super ferry is unable to run due to concerns from environmentalists. Yuk.
