I just found out about the a new option for having work done on your MINI, they posted on FB months ago, but somehow I missed it. Jason, the MINI tech is a friend of my daughter.

I started smelling something like melting plastic coming through my air vents, I went to see him this morning, holding on to positive thoughts!! And, YEAH, it was just something melted to the bottom of my car, the drive shaft I guess?

While I was there I also got a quote on new tires, very reasonable and until I get my new car in the fall (hopefully) with warranty, I'll be going back to see Jason if I need to.

So far so good, I see no reason not to return if I need to.

OH, and on Monday, I received a reply from Todd at Roadshow, to an email I sent him over the weekend, and he even said 'see you next month' (going in for service). Yesterday when I called to talk to him, they said 'todd is not longer with the company' !! That was sudden!

 

Todd is no longer with the company? Wow. I knew Tom Taylor was no longer there, but now Todd's not either. Wow.

 

Yeah, I know. He emailed me Monday. His contact info was on the website Tuesday, then yesterday.. he's gone and today his contact info is off the web. There's no replacement posted either.

I hope he moved on to better things, but the [SIZE=3][FONT=Calibri]suddenness [/FONT][/SIZE]of it makes me think not.

 

Yeah, Todd was my MA for this past car and like two days before I went to get it, Brett called and said he'd be handling it since Todd was no longer there. It was quite a surprise, but not considering how little money Todd said he was making (not that it's the reason why, just something I assumed).

Car sales would be a pretty tough life right now I can imagine.
