Mt Nebo run in May
Thanks to David and Claire for all their hospitality. The drive was fun and the food was great. We had 7 cars that made the drive from LR and we picked up 4 more in Dardanelle including Fast Fritz and his new Clubman. The traffic was light on the roads and the weather was good. Thanks again to David and Claire.
Thanks to everyone who came and turned it into a great time! Claire and I really enjoyed hosting the run; we'll do it again sometime.
Hope the run back to LR added to the fun; I was jealous as our radios were on and we could hear some of you with more powerful ones as you spontaneously planned the route back.
Lucky that the run to Dardanelle was Saturday, instead of today. Powerful storm with hard rain and strong straightline winds blew through early this afternoon, knocking out power on Mt. Nebo and throughout Dardanelle for a couple of hours.

David,
Hey, I talked to Carrie last night and she told me that your drive was GREAT. I'm really sorry I missed it. Congratulations! I'm interested in any feedback you can give me on how we might improve the host "responsibilities". let me know if you have suggestions.

Honestly, cannot think of anything - the AMOK guidesheet y'all provided (as well as the feedback on my questions via e-mail and at the meet and greet) was awesome and made it easy to plan out the route for the drive. One thing that seemed to work well was planning in a couple of stops to allow others (who could not make the entire drive) to join up en route.
Thanks for the suggestion. We usually just plan pee breaks for the Pres. Ha! I think that is a good idea. I guess several joined in route, so I think I will add that to the "Host Instructions" next time I get in and modify them. Thanks again. See ya tonight? Later
