Bit of an odd question, but thought I would go ahead and ask.

I've got an Oil Catch Can that I'd like to get installed. I'd like to not pay an arm and a leg to get it installed, and from what I have been reading, the directions that came with it isn't really the best way for installation and I don't want to screw anything up trying to install it myself.

What's the going rate for installing one of these?

I'm going to be at AMVIV. I'm leaving early afternoon on Tuesday and taking my time getting there, hoping for some great photo ops on the way out there.

No, because everyone gets the same itinerary, and you want to space out the hugs over the weekend. If everyone is hugging BGWC at the same time, only the closest layer are hugging her and the rest are hugging each other, and where's the fun in that?
Or...maybe...
Let me get back to you on that. Depends who is signing up to hug...

So I know that the schedule is not %100 final but:
does any one know anything about AMVIV4 Meet The MINIacs Mixer presented by the M7 and the Sin City MINI Club in the Palace Station Convention Center. This incorporates the 1st ever AMVIV MINI Photography/Art Show.
We didn't go to it last year! so I'd like to know what's that and ...what the photography/art show is about.

I just started typing and that's what came out. I can't help it if I have an analytical mind. That's why I'm a computer geek.

We didn't go to it last year! so I'd like to know what's that and ...what the photography/art show is about.
We're still not finalized on the format of the photography/art show, but I can tell you what I know and something about the mixer.
Last year, the SCMC put on a couple of big ring sandwiches and soft drinks in our hospitality room on the 3rd floor of Palace Station. I totally underestimated how many people were going to show up and it was a disaster. 3/4 of the people couldn't even get in the room, the food was gone in about 15 minutes.
This year, we have contracted with Palace Station to use the same room we had the banquet in last year and M7 has agreed to put in money to pay for cheese and cracker type nibblies. So...this time, Palace is responsible for there being enough food and there will be MUCH more room, and a bar. Should be a better time for all.
In conjunction with all this merriment, we're asking all the photo-heads who attending to bring pretty pictures (MINI or Mini related) to hang around the walls during the mixer. Current thinking is that it will be a show more than a competition, and we're going to ask the photographers to hang out by their pictures for about a 30 minute period during the mixer to answer questions from the attending masses.

AGRO - Even though the room was packed, and the food was gone, we still had a good time. Sounds like this year will be even better.

Will the vendors be stationed on the top floor of the parking garage, as in the past?
It would be nice to have the top floor for cars only and secure a secton of the next floor down for overflow and vendor's booths.

Current plan is top floor a mix of vendors and cars, next floor down, overflow cars. We discussed moving the vendors down a floor and decided against it. For the vendors to get value, they need foot traffic and the difference between the 5th and 6th floors is incredible. 2004 we moved everything down a floor because of rain and it was not even in the same league as last year in terms of atmosphere.

I'm glad you enjoyed the mixer last year, but I promise it will be better (and less cramped) this year.

I just love leaving my $$$ on the top floor of the garage (vendor row) instead of the "1 arm bandits" on the casino floor!

We've been talking about providing a standard size piece of posterboard (20x30?) for you to display whatever you want. If you want to go 1 big poster size shot, cool, if you want to do a few 8x10s, also cool.
Keep watching the photography forum for more info.

I've been looking at the schedule and noticed that the 2 possible drives on Saturday haven't been decided as of yet (Goodsprings & Sandy Valley).

My wife and I really want to particpate in the Scavenger Hunt, however we have to make it back to Texas Monday night to be at work on Tuesday, so we will probably be leaving before the Scavenger Hunt begins on Sunday. Any possibilities that the Scavenger Hunt could be on Saturday during the time that those 2 runs were going to be done instead?

This will be our first year in attending AMVIV (we usually make it to Vegas at least once a year and many times twice a year, except that we are usually flying in) and we want to do as many of the things that we can, and we love to particpate in Scavenger Hunts.

That would really work for me too. I'm really looking forward to the scavenger hunt, but like you, I need to haul butt back to Texas.

Goodsprings & Sandy Valley is 1 run that goes to 2 small Nevada towns. The road between them is great fun, but our concern is the lack of parking for photo ops at either town. They are SMALL towns.

The scavenger hunt is really just something for people to do who aren't heading home on Sunday. If there is enough demand, we might swap a scavenger hunt out for the poker run next year, but the poker run really seems to have a strong following, and certainly has a "Vegas" theme to it.

Sorry, but I don't think we're going to replace a group run with something that sends MINIs all over town. We already have one of those on Saturday.
