Actually, there are quite a lot of Hawaii plates driving around Vegas. There is a pretty high percentage of Hawaiians living here, and many somehow keep their home state plates. One of the SCMC club members has been using and renewing her Tennessee plates as long as I've known her (over 2 years now). The HA plates are just as likely to be locals as visitors.
Been there ('04), been there ('05), going again ('06)!
We'll be doin' installs, showin' products, racin', and hangin' out!!
See you there!
Randy
PS - A link for sign ups on install times.

This year, I'm sending up a scout up the hillside first.
Wanna volunteer?
I'll be stopping by on the cross country trek between race weekends, and to see everyone again of course
. This year I hope to actually HAVE my MINI there too, baring any fun run difficulties (for all that don't know, I managed to roll my last MINI
in AZ the weekend before AMVIV II...don't recommend that to anyone, although I did crawl out unscathed).

110 in the turns
You know they won't even call it the 12 miles of terror because of you.
Glad you're OK But I miss Homer.
In memory
I miss Homer too, but Miniwildcat was not hurt, everyone learned how valuable a racing harness is, and Snowball II is sweet... so life goes on and both of us "wildcats" will have a MINI in Vegas this year! WOO HOO!!
I'm driving down Thursday, March 23rd. I plan to hit the I-5 rest stop just south of Tracy at 10 AM (give the tule fog a chance to dissipate a little), and will probably leave around 10:15 if any Bay Area or Sacto folks want to rendezvous and caravan. Figure 8 hours including stops from there to LV, which should put us in around 6 PM.
Contrary to what you might have heard (witnessed?) I now drive at the speed limit, saving the supersonics for the track.
I'll be instructing for Phil Wicks again on Saturday. Hope to see you all at the Speedway!! Sad Arthur II should be easy to spot (see Gallery).
