FS: BRAND NEW Hamann-style Carbon Fiber Rear Upper Spoiler
FS: BRAND NEW Hamann-style Carbon Fiber Rear Upper Spoiler
FOR SALE - Hamann-style Carbon Fiber Spoiler.... made for the R50 / R53, but i have a hard time thinking this wouldn't work on other models such as R55 / R56, etc.... here's a stock photo of what the actual Hamann rear upper spoiler looks like, and i'll explain the differences in the following pictures of the actual spoiler:

The spoiler was purchased from RevoZport (http://www.revozport.com/mini.html) in Hong Kong, and waited to 3 weeks from the date i ordered it to receive it today.... unfortunately, i ordered the OEM style spoiler in carbon fiber and not this one, sooooooooo..... its up for sale! their main page is here in case you have other cars and expensive taste....
http://www.revozport.com/revozportRT.htm
The spoiler above shows the mounting holes in the same location as the factory mounts, whereas the actual spoiler i received does not - in other words, you will have to patch up your existing spoiler holes (if you have one already) to install this spoiler correctly.... any skilled body shop could do this in outpatient surgery fashion, drop it off the and leave with the car in the same day..... i can recommend a great one if you live in Orlando, as my girlfriend owns it! the ends of the actual spoiler curve down and give it a lot more character than the very boring Hamann example above!
the finish on this spoiler is nearly FLAWLESS - with a small spec of some dust on the underside of the spoiler you won't be able to see when installed, about 1/4 inch in diameter....... the weave on this is IMMACULATE, one of the best mold-made spoilers i've ever seen.... it is also ULTRA light weight for the racer-inspired, probably weighs less than 2 lbs if i had to guess, as it is nearly completely fabricated from carbon fiber alone, NO fiberglass went into this piece.... needs no clearcoating, but if you'd like, the shop i can recommend provides UV protectant clearcoating to insure it will last longer than the rest of the paint on the car - probably even the car itself!

on the site, the spoiler retails for $450 - to be 100% honest, i didn't pay that at all.... more like $400 shipped to the U.S. from Hong Kong.... SO, in the effort to not lose too much money on this, and the fact that they screwed up this order, its yours for $300 FIRM picked up or buyer pays shipping, i'll work with you on price if you need it shipped.... PayPal ONLY accepted to the same address you can email for questions - GarciaM25 at gmail dot com

you know, i was thinking about what to do about repairing the factory spoiler holes if people are worried about that.... i saw a bunch of MINIs this weekend at MTTS 2008 Miami with the JCW carbon wing and included with the JCW are two little vortex generators that mount in the factory holes, so you wouldn't have to repair the holes in the boot! just find those for sale separately, make your own, whatever, and buy this spoiler! wish i could go lower in price but not trying to lose money on the company sending me the wrong spoiler!
as unique as the cars i saw at MINI Takes The States MIAMI were with tons of different spoilers, no one wants something UNIQUE like this? i'm going with the OEM style because this is TOO unique for me!
