Any comments? Any installation instructions so I can decide for this purchase?

You will find a better install guide for coil overs at M7
http://www.m7tuning.com/tech.html

you will have to scroll down a little to find coil overs

I've read the M7 ones and they are pretty clean and clear. Now, I understand that any adjustment for the front pair will be easily done by the turning the bolt in the middle of the strut hat right or left. What about the rears, how would you adjust them? I assume you gotta drill the body and they interior, to allow access to it somewher near the rear seat, right?

Not sure what you would want to drill. The height adjustment is done from where you can get to it under the car. These are a oil dampening shock with all of the damping and valving built into the coilovers for it's best performance with the Mini.

That is a different system you do not have to adjust it for your ride. H&R looks a several different things ride hight adjustment and spring rate then there is damping control. Spring rate is fixed, ride height is adjustable, and damping is controlled through valving. These are upper end coilover that sells for 1400 US.

BC (BR series) coilovers are for a WRX, Mini is not a tank it is a well balanced racing machine like most BMWs, there by making it easier to tune in the suspension.

So you think that this system is a good one compared to JCW suspension and other coilovers? I do need VERY high street performance and I'm planning to AutoX from time to time.

Yes, compared to JCW suspension it is better. Others out on the market they are all very close in performance. Kyriian has been running them for a long time and thinks it is the best. These coilovers will meet your need and then some and still give you a good ride on the street.

Just a note you my want to also consider going up to a 22 or bigger rear sway bar.

for those on the budget, you do get more than just a name, but i do not think they are the best on the market if money's no object

that said, compared to others the H&R is a very solid setup... i did have a choice between KW, H&R RSS and the tein SS, and i in the end went with H&R, simply because i have one less thing to worry about, leave it to the engineers to determine what's best for my car

I realy love my Street versions but I think they are to soft for what I had planned for SilverBullet.

I have read & pm'd several people about the H&R's & that is why I chose them.I come from a long line of suspensions that I have installed on several of my cars.

I have had,
Image dynamic coilovers.
KW V1 2 sets.
KW V3.
Tein basic.
Tein SuperStreet with EDFC.
Tein Flex with EDFC.
Tein GT Wagon with EDFC.
H&R streets.
H&R Street/Track.

I have also played with several strut spring combos but it usualy is not low enuf & just rides harsh in my opinion "& my wifes also, lol".

These are GREAT coilovers & I am soo happy I made the H&R choice this time around. At first I was goign to do Teins for the edfc but there spring rates are way to high.I also thought about the KW/Eibach route but I have read of problems with KW & factory Mini BBS wheels not working together & the perches rubbing. The only reason I didin't do the Eibachs is they are now on there 3rd run of coilovers & no one else that I know of has them in the states.

I found H&R & here I am.

my one advice about that is find a company that can rebuild locally... it is REALLY an important part if you decided to keep them for awhile (as in more than a year)... as i track alot, losing coils for more than a few weeks can be.... disheartening

a friend of mine had a 350Z with ZEAL Super function coilovers (worth somewhere around 3gs) his struts failed in 6 months right in the middle of the track season, and since no one here has authorized to rebuild his struts he had to ship em back to japan... his car was on jack stands for 6 months while he waited for the coils to return

eibachs, h&r, kws, konis should be pretty easy to find someone to rebuild, even if you are not in the states

i state this again, i love the RSS, i've had 3 suspension setups... the RSS is easily my favourite...

Is this because they are gas pressured and not oil pressured?

Evan if you used factory struts they would be also rebuilt or replaced also with tracking them. Its just like your motor if you over use it or any piece part on your car it is bound to brake or fail sooner or later.

No one knows & neither do I as my Crystalball is broken & needs its oil changed, lol

With all the coilovers I have listed I have never had anyone of them fail.I drive like I stole or rented my cars sometime but not all the time.I also live by the MATO "IF YOU PLAY YOU HAVE TO PAY".

As Kyriian points out, There are other brands out there, moving up that list you will find Cross and Leda but they cost twice as much. You can even go with a fully live adjustable suspension that can be controlled from the interior of the car, but that is up around 6 to 8 k. These are a very good coilover for the money and the class of coilover. I guess if I wanted a Bugatti suspension then I should have bought a Bugatti. Instead I own a Mini and really don't need a high end suspension system, these RSS are more then enough for my driving style. Plus the price that they are being offered at is a heck of a deal.

Bottom line here is these are almost half price, you won't find a set of new coilovers for this price.

guys, these coilovers rock! i have had them on my mini for almost two years now. ride is very firm and controlled. i have the stock rear swaybar and no front swaybar and my car handles perfectly. neutral in turns and controllable from understeer to oversteer with the throttle/brakes. plus, the front shock inserts are bilsteins! bonus! on a performance car, adjustability is for fine tuning. once you find the proper setting, you leave it there. these are already set up perfectly. these are excellent coilovers for anyone looking for maximum performance.

If I need deep technical information on those, like how to adjust and the effects of adjustments and how many levels of ride hights. Where to go to or what is the link? I checked the manufacturer's website and does not seem to have enough info.

the only adjustment is ride height, that's it. turn the collar up, turn the collar down, do it with the weight off the end of the car you are adjusting. that's as deep as it goes.
