Big Night @ Workplay! 12/12/06
Dec 12th Thomas Dolby will be in concert in the Majic City with BT (?) some sound guy...BUT the big news is my daughters Art work will projected be on a big screen presentation prior to the show. She was selected as 1/30 up and rising artist in the B'ham/Atlanta area thru Deviantart.com.

Let's see here. what can I say.....
...it was loud, it was techno, we were blinded by science.
Not my kinda thing but it was way cool to see her work on this huge screen. There was no drum kit and needless to say, we left early. We were all hungry and all thinking Arby's.
Thomas Dolby was first, he did a great job, finished his set with his #1 hit, but this BT person was from another planet. I'll give it to him, he is great at what he does but the images were a bit disturbing. Rather on the dark side.
It was a cross between Newage (never really actually forming a song) and sci-fi fusion(high pitch shrill noises). The shocker for Hayley was she had never been in a night club before. I have taken her to see Coldplay and Jamie Cullum, but they were just good 'ol concerts. It's gotta have a drum kit or it's all wrong.
The night was a good experence for her and her best friend Brooke to see the other side of life and a glimpse into the future for when she ventures out into the real world. But all in all she was flattered and this will look cool on her resume'
This is her self portrait. She drew it the night of her first sword class. One of my favs.
