haha thats good to hear. i hope to keep mine that long, unless i blow this car up. i just got it used with 75k miles and it makes weird noises compared to my toyota i just replaced. every day though i drive it hard at least once (sitting in morning traffic irritates me and sometimes i get a chance to dive onto the interstate on-ramp in a playful manner) and it seems to hold up fine haha.

This will be my 6th MOTD in my R50, almost 90K miles, and I have no fear of it getting me there, a fun week on the Dragon and surrounding roads, and getting me back home.

Before I go this year, I will be replacing the clutch, flywheel, lower control arm bushings, and both inner and outer tie rods on both sides.

I wonder how many people have been to all 8 MOTDs, if any.

Can't be THAT many since the first 1 or 2 were pretty slim, IIRC.

the name has been updated

Here are some interesting facts for yous

2010 - took 33 days to reach 300

2009 - took 48 days to reach 300

As of last night we are 103 registrations ahead of 2009 for the same amount of days

Disclaminer: Past performance is no guarantee of future results, but it does give one reason to be hopefull

Now back to the count!!

I had been meaning to go back and find last year's thread to see how this year's registration rate compared to last year's, simply because I was interested, but I guess I don't have to anymore.

Hopefully past performance is indicative of future results in this case.

Alright! I am getting ready to see all these MINI's. I am one of the new owners who have signed up for the first time on the Dragon.

Awesome welcome and if you like you can look for me there. My first dragon was in 2006 and I remember what it was like to be new and not know what is going on was a major difficulty. Also get a set of Motorola walkie talkies, they make life much easier. Plus if you can go to a few local meets and greets or Runs, so you can get to know this awesome community of Miniacs that you have just joined. Hope to see you there!!!

Thanks Jimmy, I will definately be on the look out! I'm in a rural part of Alabama and haven't met a lot of Mini people but the few I have were very friendly. The closest local club is a few hours away and seems to meet on weekdays but I am going to try to leave work early sometime and meet them.

Glad to know about the Motorola's. I have a few already but would have not thought to bring them!
