Nano (ImagoX's Hot Orange Cab) flipped and was totaled on the Dragon fall of 2007 IIRC. That's one of the MINIs enshrined on the Tree of Shame.

The other MINI on the Tree of Shame is Big Daddy's which was totaled on 28 last year at MOTD.

How did they happen? I saw on one for the museum pieces that one of them caught lose gravel around a turn.

How did was the Cabrio driver? I don't think I've ever seen a convertible turtled.

Russell signed the A pillar that came off and hung it on the tree. So there is a part of it there now.

Also if you have an electric blue, the value of your car just went up $5.

Nano's demise didn't need to happen, and should not have happened. The poor cabrio was being piloted by an inexperienced spouse who was trying to imitate her hubby's fluid driving and just lost it. What was really bad was she had her hubby with her, plus her young son in the back seat.

Ah Nano...I wasn't thinking beyond MOTDs past. Wasn't that a few months before the 08 MOTD?

Found the pictures of their parts:

This is my first year, so I wasn't there, but I'm sure this will evoke some memories for some...

What is amazing is how many have driven away from these wrecks.

I got to sit with the MINI Fini guys at dinner for the last couple nights of MOTD. I am glad that everyone was ok. I saw the car on the trailer the next morning.

I was impressed to see parts from only two MINIs as well. Not like all the crotch rocket parts hanging from the tree. You could likely build your own just from all the parts hanging there.

btw, I just realized your sig pic was taken in my campsite from last week.
