I still warmly remember that fantastic first one you led a number of years ago, Aaron... was it in 2006? Same run, right? Just earlier in the day this time?

I wanted to come on your drive (in spite of not being a morning person at all), but I wasn't comfortable with it bumping up against the panoramic photo - especially since I was one of the people who volunteered to assist with setup.

Perhaps next year, a day other than Saturday? Friday morning? (It would also prevent bumping against the brew swap...)

 

This was the best run of the whole event! Incredible views and great driving. Even in the rain with my top down!! LOL I really enjoyed it!

 

Thanx again Aaron(sp)! It was much more enjoyable this time since I didn't have to limp my car around without a clutch!!!

Janet needs to be in a MINI commercial... she never put the top up, even in pouring rain! Great way to motor!

Thanks for the compliments, A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do! But I have to make a correction. I did finally put my top up when we stopped to wait for some people to catch up right before we got on 74. And I'm glad I did, cause it was after that the rain really started and never let up!

But again, that drive was the highlight of my entire week! I loved it. Can't wait for next year's.

Jane and I saw you guys on the Foothills Pkwy. We were staying in Townsend and were on our way to meet some folks for a drive to Syliva Brewery. That drive sounds like a lot of fun, we will be in on it next year.

 

I think I have a pic of the very front of your car when you were approaching me as I was aiming at the MINIs in my sideview mirror. The pic's not very good but I kept it cause it showed a MINI heading in the other direction as we went the other way. It should be in the link I posted.

 

Minis headed in both directions. Cool!!

I was very glad you were along. I didn't want to be the only crazy! I love the morning drives with the top down, too. Great way to start the day.

 

I think that this would be a perfect drive for Barry... it leaves early in the morning and gets back before any events the next day!

I hope that I can make it out there to lead again next year. I just found out that I'll be employed in the next few weeks (one job offer in hand and another should be coming on Monday), so one never knows how it will shake out, but it's an easy drive for anyone to lead and I've got detailed instructions.
