Cades Cove Loop Closed Monday through Thursday

For you early arrivals:

Cades Cove Loop road will be closed to motor vehicles Monday through Thursday this week. Crews will resurface the Abrams Creek Trail entrance road and parking area and improve drainage there. They will also repair a wooden bridge that carries the loop road over Abrams Creek.

You just read the same thing I did. The article says that the road will only be closed early in the morning - from dawn to 10am. I was actually thinking about doing the loop this year during the Thursday drive to Gatlinburg. I guess I will avoid it this time. I don't want to have to scrape fresh tar and asphalt from the bottom of my car.

So will we see you at Sonic and bowling tonight?
