Dragon Parade - Friday May 2, 8am
What! There might not be a PARADE!!! Last year we lined up behind the car infront of us I had no idea we had to stay off of the grass. Anyways the ground would be back to normal within a few weeks. I don't think that Fontana Dam will be the problem but the minute we cross over the Tenn. line is when it should be interesting. I just hope the THP aren't going to be a pain in the boot this year.
So it doesn't appear that there is a clear consensus as to a date, but it seems like there would be more people on Friday, and that no one has a problem with it being at 8:00 to accomodate the day drives.
MINI Monte Carlo Night is the night before, and there's no telling how late that runs, so that may cut into a Friday attendance.
Is there anyone who would rather do the parade on Thursday at 8am than Friday at 8am?

Well that's an easy fix... Those that are young don't need that much sleep and the old ones will be asleep by 8pm anyway.
As I said, I will help organize on either day, I will not drive the parade due to other commitments, but I will certainly help get everyone lined up and off in time for thier other commitments.
Unless it is at 9am of Friday, I have Help Desk duty! (Info table)

8am Friday definitely works for us. (Thursday 8am would probably work for us, also, but could be a close call with our Highlands Drive)

)So if we do it this year, give THP exactly what they want: the speed limit. Imagine their thoughts when 200+ MINIs go by right at the speed limit.
That also helps you know where they're waiting when you make your return trip.
Last year it was advertised as a 'leisurely' drive down the Dragon. (Yeah, riiiight!
)

Dragon Parade - Friday 8am "STAY OFF THE GRASS"
Should the Event Planner mention the fact that everyone needs to "STAY OFF THE GRASS"?
Along with anything else to keep us out of trouble with TVA.

I think that as long as everyone follows the directions of the people directing traffic and lines up the same as the person in front of them that we won't have any issues.
Now that I've registered for the parade (which, this being my first MOTD), will be my personal introduction to the Dragon!
. . . I'm also signed up for the Sylva brewery tour and drive starting at 9am- is it possible to do the parade and be back by 9?
According to Google Maps, this is a 56 minute round trip. I wouldn't count on making the 9am run but you should be good for the 10am run.

I don't have the permissions to modify the event planner, but if someone who does wants to add that then that's great!
