The more people that sign up for MINI Monte Carlo Night, the more prizes vendors will donate!

Don't forget you can still register for MINI Monte Carlo Night, even if you are not registered for MOTD or you forgot to add MMCN during registration!

If you want a chance to win prizes at MOTD this year, this is your only chance!

Register Now!

This will likely be the last year for MINI Monte Carlo Night at MOTD. We have worked long and hard to ensure that this years event is better than last years. We listened to everyones suggestions and made all the changes.
More Tables, Cooler & Bigger Room, Not Conflicting with other events, More Swag, More Prizes.....

The changes we made forced us to raise the fee to $40, our hope was that with a second successful year that we would gain even more support from sponsors to allow us to reduce costs again next year.

However, since the numbers are so low this year it is unlikely that we will continue to receive sponsorship dollars let alone increase those levels.

If you are thinking about MMCN, Please, Please, Please Register Now!

come on people, with the number of people attending this being low...think of the chances of winning sweet loot going up up up! I look forward to losing all my (fake) money at your tables.

Is there a possibility of being able to register at the door for this?

Unfortunately, no. We have to give a final count to the event company, plus we have all the goodies that need to be printed. With the low registration numbers we do not have resources (money) to make extras, or to give the event company a higher number in hopes that people will register at the door.

Just ordered two more tickets. Figured I'd bump up my odds of winning something, since I'll probably blow all my play money.

I've been wondering, how many people were you planning for?

I know last year was great and very crowded, and the talk was about expanding for this year. I'm 100% convinced that the lower turnout is due to cost this year. I think if you could have gone at even $30 per person it would have been a lot higher.

But I know those kinds of calculations are tough.

Having said that, my wife and I are signed up, and are excited about the event. I'll be sad if it is the last one.

p.s. Any word on that prize list yet? I am eager to start daydreaming like when I buy a lottery ticket

We had 200 last year. We started Registrations later than NAM, we were not listed in the NAM store, so we thought this year would be higher.

We had a limit of 500 set, and were hoping for about 300. The higher cost is due to the fact that we contracted with the event company for the ammount of tables they said we would need. We cut their number last year to save money, and that caused the very crowded conditions.

We moved to the adventure center to have more space, up to 1000 people, plus it's cooler temperature wise than the Carolina Room.

Our hope was to pull off a second successful event, to entice even more sponsorship next year so that we could lower the cost back to $25 or even lower.

We also thought that since MMCN is the only place for MOTD prizes, with the exception of a handful at the Farewell Dinner, that would drive registrations, but alas it did not.

No worries, they party will be awesome!

Pamalalala just needs to get me the list of prizes to post on the site. That said many of the bigger sponsors are just now deciding what to donate.

It was a lot of fun last year! We're looking forward to MMCN, and hope all of your preparations go smoothly. Thanks for bringing such a great event to the middle of nowhere.

I can see where the current level is distressing. Are you going to be able to cover the costs with just ~140 signups?

I know, personally, that this event and the Brew Swap were the two that I looked forward to all year, and I have to admit that even I hesitated when I saw it was going to be $80 for my wife and I to attend, and this event is a big reason why we are coming!

I hope everything goes well and the costs are covered.

Yes we got enough sponsor $$$ this year to pull it off, and it is going to be a BLAST!

I would say that with high-test running at nearly $4 a gallon people's spending habits will be changing somewhat.
