And to put it straight this isn't a sausage fest, because for 1) I don't have sausage , and 2) I don't remember being someone who stopped being single since last year , so... We can always call it a friend fest because I made at least 5 good friends this way last year, so hopefully I'll go home with even more.

I just know a lot of times the feel is different around couples than it is with singles, so I wanted a way for singles to do what they do best...Have Fun!!!

 

Not single, but flying solo to the Dragon this year. I'm not quite sure which day I'll be down, but I'll definitely be at the NSW dinner.

I'm also camping - and bringing enough stuff to make a decent breakfast at the campsite every day!

 

oooh breakfast.... I will be camping as well at least on tuesday and wednesday night, I will be in a cabin thursday through sat nights. Well It should be fun to meet you all. I say if anyone wants to do a quick meet n greet we should do it on the steps of where you check-in for MOTD NOT the lodging check-in after the welcome dinner and before the mixer, just as a chance to say hi and then we can all hang out at different times or what not. Just an idea...Let me know what you all think.

After this event I'll be a 3 year MOTD Vet.
Last year I got sidetracked and didn't make it to the singles meet & greet.
Really want to make it this year...

Arriving Thursday afternoon.

I'm camping too. Sort of thought I'd sleep in the MINI wherever we both end up. U know...just pull up, throw the car cover over and snooz. Anybody else ever do this?

Bathtime could be a challenge unless I bum somebody's bathroom at some point during the day. hope I wont have too much trouble.

Hey, I'll experience life as a roomless MOTD road person.. Sounds fun at the moment...hope it's fun for 3 days. Never know till I try it!
Anyone got any suggestions?

Single, Solo, & MINI-less as I wont be able to drive stick due to knee surgery. Anyone wanna drive my MINI down with me? Then we wouldnt be solo....lol

Shannah- are you staying at the Fontana campground? My schedule's the same as yours and I've got a tent site reserved. If you wanna go halvsies give me holler. or you can look for the guy with the MINI.

I don't know yet how many people will actually be sleeping in our cabin, but if nothing else you are welcome to park in our driveway and use our bathroom. I have taken naps in my mini for a few hours but have never done the overnight, atleast not yet. I will also have an extra tent ans sleeping bag you are welcome to borrow for the thursday through sunday part of the trip. I look forward to meeting you this year, as I don't think I got to last year.

I've got a friend with an RV site that is letting me bum space of of them for those first 2 days, but if something falls through before I head down there I'll definitely let you know.

 

If anyone is still looking for a solo roomie, I am looking for a place to stay. I and perfectly comfortable with camping too, or sleeping in my car... I just want to make sure I don't have to do it illegally! I am only going to be there Fri and Sat. nights, and can cover costs.

you might have better luck but when i slept in my car, it was not a fun experience.. but it was below freezing, so that might have been part of it

Tracy, I definately think the temp had a lot to do with your misery.

I will have sleeping bags, etc. Temp may get in the upper 30's at night but not freezing.

Some of my Atlanta MINIs buddys are staying at Tapoco lodge and I know for sure i can park beside their cabins, etc.

But, If I end up hopeless, I'll remember your offer, Checkmate, look you up, and not be hopeless.

Didn't I meet you at the Chilli Cookoff last year? I think so. Correct me if I'm wrong.

 

You probably did, I was part of that. I can't remember everyone by name that I met last year. But I'm hoping I'll have more time to socialize and get to know some people better. I know I'll recognize faces and such, but I packed my wseekend so full last year.

And Tracy I'm pretty sure the freezing weather had something to do with it, but when it's that cold I keep my car running and the heated seats on at least I did for my naps.

 

Keep your options open, things always open up at the last minute. I'm sure if anyone on this thread has an open bed or room they'll let you know.
