Train Ride anyone?
I'm ready to book a Sunday excursion. Which one - Nantahala Gorge, or Tuckasegee River? I suppose you're suggesting the Nantahala one, out of Bryson City. It's closer, and looks good.
How many are still interested?

We're (Ted & Margie) now booked for two in the Club Car, Sunday. Ordered box lunches. Guess we can establish a gathering time & location for a caravan at Fontana. We're in a car that looks suspiciously like the one in this signature.
I booked us for the Bryson City trip to leave at 10:30 am on sunday morning. We had to take the crown car because my co-piolet is only 20 years old. I told her I could get her a fake ID
but figured with me being a cop and all that MIGHT get me in a little trouble at work!!
The e-mail said they have not confirmed the reservation yet but they will send me another one when they do. So for now it says I should not consider it "final".
I say we meet up at the rec cneter (where all the activities are going to happen). I think it is about an hour or so drive. I have not driven that before so I really do not know.
Ted you got any idea? What time should we leave?
I like to get places a little early, so not to cut it to close. Let me know.

My confirmation e-mail, which came a day later, said to be at the station an hour early, to pick up tickets, and to board 15 minutes before departure. Don't know what the drive time is to Bryson City; guessing 25 to 30 miles there, meaning 45 minutes drive to be safe. We're not staying at Fontana, but at a cabin nearby. I'll meet the caravan about ten miles down the road from Fontana. We can coordinate that Friday or Saturday.

Let's try to keep that information about the lack of traffic on 'dawn Dragon runs' a secret. Oops, too late for that, I guess. We're staying past Sunday, so maybe I will have a chance for a good run down and back. I understand that the 3rd weekend will host Datsun Zs. It will be interesting to see how many they field.
I apoligize for gettin off the thread about the train trip. Choo-choo.
