I was going to explain farther, but saying i was jumping on a bed in a skirt then falling all over the place wouldn't sound much better.

This is a HUGE event with hundreds of people. There will be all kinds of people there with all different kinds of fun. Half of the people on this thread are just talking silly talk As you know, MINI enthusiasts come in all forms.

P.S.
There also might be some statistically significant differences between those MINI owners who are MOST active in the OT forum, those who are active in other forums, and those who are only moderately to minimally active on NAM at all. (just a thought) All types will be there.

Yucca, Yucca, Yucca...cigars among us DragonSlayers are NEVER a problem. I'll bring some Cubans and some other handmade imported ones, too, just not as many as last year. Anyhow, it was my pleasure to send some cigars with ya for your BIG DAY!

Not a chance in H*ll !!!

I can barely stand listening to myself muchless torturing other innocent victims.

I am going to try to arrange some time off so I can go.

UKNUT, call Fontana Village: 800-849-2258 and visit ww.fontanavillage.com
Be sure to ask for the "MINI COOPER discount!"

In front of the OT Lounge there's a little fire ring to build mini-bonfires for roasting marshmallow to make late night s'mores, plus we have a fireplace and will have a roaring fire in it every night to light the special dance performances!

Ukes, guitars, flutes, recorders, boom boxes, triangles, and assorted rhythm instruments are welcome. WARNING: OT Lounge is a rap-free zone!

Happy hour will commence at 4 pm daily. Anyone familiar with my hosting style knows that there will be lots of snackies to enjoy. We'll also have beverages, but for those who like beer, wine, and the harder stuff, please bring some along to share with your MINI mates.

And please, people: do not sign up for every single "official" event....that will run you ragged!

* Cabin 429 is an absolute. It was booked last May.

** It never does get bad to the bone, but if you get the right seat in front of the fire or have a good angle you’ll be able to get a great glimpse of all the action before the veils don’t come off.

*** Live music will be provided by Slip Mydisk and P Mypants, notorious for Ho downs and hoot-a-nanny’s we plan to have.

**** The hour will be based on driving time and preparation. 4PM is good, but if no cars in the drive remember this mato...

You’ll get home alive if you don't drive because when the party starts I can't fix your hearts!!!

Rick, there are some really nice camping facilities at Fontana Village, if you are interested. I believe the rate is $15-20 per night. When at the Dragon, we all typically gas up every morning AND every evening....

Check it out!

I wanna go.... It scares me to make reservations for anything this far in advance, though. I mean, that's practically commitment.

Nonetheless, I wanna go. So perhaps I'll be forced to make a decision and stick to it...

Don't be a skunk, Toastie....get on the phone and make your reservations NOW. Like I've mentioned many times before, you may transfer your reservation to someone else if you truly cannot go. But you will be sorry if you don't come hang out at the OT Lounge!

Ok -- I'll do it tomorrow. Leif wants to camp (oof.) should I reserve a tent site, or will I be safe to put it off till the last minute?

do not put it off. It will be much easier to cancel than it would be to make reservations too late!

Camping is fine, but since there is so much going on, you might not want to spend the extra energy needed for camping. . .

but whatever you do, please come!
