We took delivery of our 2025 MINI Countryman S All4 on 06/10/24. We have Vescin Vintage Brown seats that the red stitching is fraying on the driver’s seat – see attached photos.

Both my wife and I are average weight (100 lbs / 150 lbs), so this is not abuse or wear and tear. I plan on calling MINI and file a claim to have this problem covered under warranty.
Well, I contacted MINI USA concerning the frayed red stitching in our diver’s side seat and was told to contact our dealer. I then contacted my local dealership, brought the vehicle in and after teardown, it was determined that this defect would be covered under warranty. The faulty Vescin driver’s seat cover was ordered from Germany in mid-October but because Germany’s Deutsche Post and DHL Parcel Germany paused transport of parcels containing goods to the U.S. starting late August 2025, the cover had to be shipped via ship and took seven weeks to arrive.
This past week, I was informed that the replacement cover finally arrived, I took our MINI Countryman S All4 into our dealer on Monday and the new cover was installed and looks great.
Thank you MINI for standing ground and helping a customer with an unusual circumstance.
