i think your confusing wave "breaks" with MINI "brakes."

 

Actually, sndwave is correct here because my "brakes" and better known as "breaks" on the dragon!

I know just what Andrew had last year and they were breaks because they wouldn't brake anymore.

 

Andrew remember I'll be up in the area the day before we take off so I can help you pick out the best set of bald tires to install again this year.

Out of sheer curiousity --- I wonder how many tires have been sacrficed to the Dragon -- we know of Andrew's 4; Kool, didn't you loose one to the Dragon? Or was that on your way to the Dragon??? or something???

my first time going to the Dragon....hit a pothole and screwed up my sidewall on my runflat
btw: after that i lost another tire due to a pothole = no more runflats
also: the Dragon has ate 2 sets of tires on me

 

One full set of mine in the fall. Plus two people destroyed 3 wheels that same trip. I had four spares with me and loaned them out so they could get home.

 

4 spares????? What are you a boy scout?

What did you do, pull out the seats and sit on the wheels to get there????

Seriously, were to pulling a Yucca (intentionally driving on bald tires) or are you that unlucky you thought you'd need more than 1 spare? Anywho, I bet those 2 people owe you a beer or four for being so prepared.

PB – I bought 4 wheels with tires from Ryan and he brought them to me at the Dragon on the fall trip. I would have had to take 4 wheels and all my stuff back down south and I’m still wondering how that was going to happen.

But two people destroyed 3 wheels so I loaned them 3 and I only had to take one back with me. It worked out good for me and good for them.

 

But what a lonnnnng second, eh?

I ordered a new set of wheels and tires today. I be's ready! (Unless I wear them out first)

 

Let's see, if you go by Sndwave's or Yucca's (and I think even Kool's) example: Save the tires you are riding on NOW....and bring those to the dragon to ride the dragon on. I seem to be learning that the Dragon is better when there is LESS rubber between you and the road. I think it enhances the road feel or something??? Perhaps, it is the danger of not knowing if on this turn, your brakes will make some awful sound -- oh, wait, I WAS talking tires...now brakes....

Hmmm, lessons from the dragon: BRING SPARE PARTS. ok, check.
