MITM3
We are registered and have our lodging, now for the wait. Not only waiting for MITM3 but also for our new Sidewalk to get here. Should be here by Aug.1 but you never know.
Where can I find the new MITM3 Colorado tag to change my signature on the forum?

August is going to be a crazy first two weeks---first MTTS on Aug 1-3, then, MITM Aug 6-11, but we'll leave on Aug 5, so oh man, that's like non stop MINI fun from Aug 1 to Aug 12 (a day to get back home). Can't wait till August!! =P

I'll get what I can--but I'm actually a vendor--so I don't know how much "fun" I'll actually get to have. =)

Phil, I consider those legit questions
- Your PayPal receipt if proof of registration for the event
- About a week before the event, you will get an email, with a link to the EVENT GUIDE. Please print it and bring it with you.
- When you get to Copper (CMR) please come to the parking structure (there will be many questions about this same thing, you are just first) and find your HOSTS (you will see us under the tent) and CHECK IN. We then deliver your shirts, bag, bling, goodies, event info, freebies, giveaways, etc. All at once.
- See the vendors. Shop till you drop.
- Be sure to call Copper with the code in our site to RSVP your condo or hotel room. They will confirm with you directly, not thru us.

It is only fitting
Since I have made the last 4 Dragons. You will love it here. There are many routes to take, and if you want suggestions, post here and we will make a few.
Thanks, see you this summer.

Yea!!!!!!!
We are finally registered. Room booked and everything. We are looking forward to our now annual trip to Colorado. (Okay, we didn't make it to MITM2 but we stayed and played a while on our way to Utah (MUTA) last September.) Have lots of fun things planned on our way to Copper again. The only question remaining is do we bring the bikes or not. Tempting since there is that great trail to Frisco, but the down side is the drop in mileage!!! Looking forward to leaving the swamps.

You can always just rent a bike for a day at Copper. I believe there is a rental shop right near Burning Stone's Plaza, at the heart of Copper on the slope side. Might cost more than the decreased mileage expense. But either way, there are ways for you to bike. I am planning on bringing up my mountain bike for sure. You can go from Breck, to Loveland pass, to Vail and to Dillon all on paths, not to mention biking on the ski slopes. You can ride a lift up with your bike, then have a ball going down hill.

Yes, could do that but the new road bikes and their snazzy new bike carrier would love to come, too! And I've gotten spoiled by the weight of my bike! Not really a mountain bike person, more of a roadie anyways.

overall...it would still be cheaper to bring your own bike, even with the milage issues and resistance. Plus, the joy of having your own fitted bike is KEY!!!

If you have mountain bike withdrawal
you can alwways rent one here for a few days. Hey, the stuff they rent in many cases is quite a bit nicer than what most of us have at home.

Since having my Mini I've been wanting to do this event but the time is just not ready for me yet. I really hope to join in next year.
Does anyone know if there is a time period that each year's MITM is scheduled for? I would like to start making plans for MITM4 to try to ensure I can make it on that one.
Thanks for any help.

History has it that
our event is held over the 2nd weekend in August, and we have held to that for 3 years. This allows you to do most of your summer, and we fit in nicely between July 4 and Labor Day. Further, at least for Colorado, this ends up being at least 1 weekend and in some cases 2 weekends before school starts.
Not sure about Omaha, but that timing seems to work for us.
Thanks for asking, we are looking for a nice group from CORN and CORN this year.

It also seems to coincide with the official start of the NCAA fall sports calendar (for whatever that is worth) for those of you that have student athletes. What better way to cap off dropping off the kid and hemorrhaging money than to spend a few days in the mountains with your MINI and MINI friends? I don't know what I'm gonna do in 2010 after my daughter graduates (hopefully, fingers and toes ALL crossed)
