MITM3 Coopers Return to Copper!
#26
Glad you posted, we are happy to help
MITM3 is scheduled as you note. Signup will begin, formally, right here in NAM on or about June 1, 2008. At that time we will open up for:
Thanks,
Jonathan Souza, organizer
Rick Gonzales, organizer
JPS
- Event Registration
- Lodging Registration
- Volunteers (mostly MINI5280 folks)
- Swag
- and more.
- Wednesday, August 6 - Setup party begins at Copper Mountain Resort CMR at 5 pm. Pitch Tents, bring supplies, maybe an ice cold beverage. No formal events this evening.
- Thursday - Scheduled rides all day long. Dozens to choose from. Dinner hosted by the R50 Owners Group and will be informal, at 2 or 3 locations in Frisco proper. Vendors all day at Copper.
- Friday - Scheduled rides all day long but the big ride, and the one we recommend, is to Rocky Mountain National Park. Dinner is at Winter Park Resort (not Copper) under the tent, outside. Evening ride after dinner is either up Mt. Evans (14,246 ft, paved, at midnight, nekkid) or back to Copper. Vendors all day at Copper.
- Saturday - same as Friday. Dinner at Copper Mountain Resort, gifts, giveaways, prizes, auctions, and more. Vendors all day. Midnight ride up Mt. Evans to view the Perseid Meteor Shower.
- Sunday...breakfast in Frisco. Event adjourns.
Thanks,

Stevie and I will be up there for the 2nd year in a row...we're totally stoked for MITM3. We had such a great time last year and look forward to seeing every one and meeting all the new people!

I can't think of anything we would need off the top of my head. Last year worked out just great! Thanks, as always, for asking.

Heather,
Will you be taking pre-orders for gallons of your wonderful products again, with pick up at MITM? I should need to sock up by then.
Thanks
Marlow Main
Excellent! We look forward to providing supplies and a retail tent again this year. Glad that you will have us again.

Yes, on or about June 1
giving us 60 days to take orders, then about a week to get production shipped here - tshirts, license plates, etc.
This year, there will be some info in NAM but registration will happen at the new, dedicated, MINIs in the Mountains website...

Indeed there is.
Check at www.summitcolorado.com (the resort and the event are in Summit County) and anything at or near Frisco, Dillon or Silverthorne should satisfy your needs. Camping spots are at a premium up there, and the closest that I know is the Frisco Marina area on Lake Dillon. Check it out.
Dillon's 344 campsites accommodate tents, pickup campers, RV's, and trailers. All campgrounds have a drinking water supply. Camping is allowed in designated sites only. Most campgrounds are provided by Forest Service. Reservation number: 1-877-444-6777.

There'll be four of us motorin' down for Seattle for this one. Lot's of twisties along the way! I too am looking forward to booking my reservations sooner rather than later so information on where to stay would be good.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Somewhere I think I've seen evidence that MINI5280 has printed and distributed among its members cool MITM3 posters of the event announcement (illustrated in Post #1).
Any chance that these could be made available to some of us out-of-area folks for a nominal fee? I'm sure many of us would love to assist in your outreach efforts. Please post ordering and pricing details if this is possible.
See you in August!
