2nd Gen FAQ Overview

After much internal discussion, the moderator team at NAM brings you a new FAQ forum for each generation of Mini.

The purpose is to provide a resource to answer as many of the Frequently Asked Questions as possible about each generation, so that members new and old can quickly find information about their Mini for maintenance, modifications, or just understanding the car. Within the membership at NAM, there is an incredible breadth and depth of information, but sometimes answers on a particular topic can be hard to find. Other times, the same question comes up over and over again. The goal of the FAQ section is to organize that knowledge in an easily accessible way. We are relying on the members to contribute their expertise to help others.

Gen1 FAQ is here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...questions.html, it has lots of general information that is useful to any Mini owner, not just Gen1 specific.

For the Gen2 FAQs, the general guidelines are:
1) Each thread in the FAQ forum will cover a single topic. New threads can only be created by the moderators, but anyone is welcome to add information to an existing topic.
2) There is a sticky thread for suggesting topics. We will try to get to all the obvious ones as fast as possible.
3) Posts to each thread may be edited to ensure that the information is on topic.
4) From time to time, information from followup posts may be merged into the first post in each thread to try to keep everything concise and organized, so if your post disappears, don't be offended.

Thanks in advance for your help in making this a valuable resource for the Mini community!

Discussion, comments, etc. on the FAQ forum welcome in this thread.
