Dinan Tune

Has anyone done the Stage 1 Tune to a Countryman?

https://www.dinancars.com/products/s...0-B46-B48-M-S1

I'm not sure I've seen Dinan and Countryman in the same breath on this site...anyone? anyone?

Thank you

Wish I could, but it’s only offered through the 2019 model year. I was hoping to go with the Dinantronics X, but it seems it’s no longer saying it’s compatible with the 2023 model year (it definitely said it was up until recently).

@NBCGLX Looks like i just made it then. I have a 2019. Although the shop did say if i have the Nov 2019 update it would be a more complex process.

anyways, curious if you/anyone knows of any issues - either with warranty or stress on the engine, etc

thank you. (Always appreciate your help)

Assuming their compatibility chart is accurate, you’ll still need to pull the ECU and ship it to Dinan, unless you have a Dinan dealer nearby that can do it for you. The ability to flash the ECU while in the car stopped with the 2018 model year I believe. Dinan is well known in the BMW world, but if you’re exploring all options, I also recommend you message Mario Palza (aka @MarioKart ). He flashed the ECU in my 2019 F57 years ago and I couldn’t be happier.

Yeah, that's the complex part. The guy said if I had the November of 2019 update, he'd have to pull ECU and send. As I'm not sure what I have, he said he'd test for no fee.

According to Dinan's site, I have a dealer 24 minutes away (this guy I've talked to) and a BMW dealer 5 minutes away. The BMW dealer says only BMWs though, but figured I'd ask...it is basically the same engine.

EDIT: I think I know what you might be referring to now. The removal and shipment of the DME? That I didn't catch and could be an issue. I can't be without my car for a while... I'll have to check with Mario Palza as your recommended

Thank you
