Retiring Lucy my R60 after 9 years of service.

Lucy has 94K on her with the clutch replaced at 45K and turbo replaced at 48K. She has been a good dependable ride. Taking Ethel the 2018 PHEV down to Montgomery County for service Friday and will order Ricky a 2023 F60 JCW. Lucy is Crystal Silver and will get Ricky Moonwalk Gray and Red. Will have to work with the local Graphics shop to see what they can get that is close to Moonwalk gray to do roof stripes. Also thinking of putting a red ball 37 on each side with my name a blood type below the window.

Will miss my driving lights they were a big help with deer on our rural roads. Does not look like any options to add Factory kits on the New F60’s.

Now the wait will begin😎

Order is in, I have my production number and have it loaded in my garage to track. So the fun of the wait begins.

Bad news is my 18 needs a new valve cover, so I have a loaner for a few days.

Tech said the valve cover itself is bad, ie cracked. He said any try to patch will not hold up and I will be right back to low crank case pressure again, so no JB weld fix🙃

No clue why it cracked. He said he had seen it before but it is rare.

I retired my 2012 R60 after nearly 10 years and 108k miles. No major issues throughout her long faithful service. Also replaced the valve cover. Maybe it's not as rare as your tech thought.

My new F60 will be delivered this week. Countryman S, rooftop grey. Big change after a dark silver and royal grey in my previous MINIs.

Rickey entered production today and is in the body shop and had Vin# assigned. So order 4/9 start of production 5/16. A Little better than I expected.
