F60 Front brakes and the idiot light
Front brakes and the idiot light
Did the front brakes on my 18 countryman all4 S.
I got the system to reboot with out the brake warning.
went out to go to dinner and the light is back on. Drove a couple miles down the road and the red light under the rear view starts flashing with an alarm. WTF!
any idea where I start to get this sorted out?
thank you

If this happened to me, the first thing I'd check is the proper placement and condition of the wear sensor. I re-used the wear sensors when I changed the rotors/pads, because I changed them very early. That simple clip that holds them in place could have been put on incorrectly, and the sensor wire could have been prematurely worn through. Also, the connector could be loose...either way, the system would show an open circuit...which it interprets as a worn pad.
Hope you find it's something this simple!
