Rear brake sensor breakage

My rear brake senor broke in 2 just where it connects to the pads this is the second time it has happened. The pads are fine checked that when I pulled the wheel off is there a longer sensor off of another BMW or MINI that would put less stress on the connector around the pad that might last longer?

if you seriously think this is the issue .... the sensor is a pretty DUMB device ..... just a loop of wire that when the sensor wears down and breaks the wire the open circuit sets off the alert.

you can

1. Just eliminate the sensor by snipping it off and connecting the wire ends to each other (and weather seal)

2. Extend the simple wires by snipping and splicing in a few inches of new (and weather seal)
