I noticed I was constantly going way faster than I thought I was.
i feel this is going to a long term thing for us.. also.. our JCWs will start burple and popping after you get more miles on. i have now 172miles and on my way home was at a stop light next to a Ford Rapter and well.. had to give him a little show and noticed the beginings of the burple on up shifts and then got a nice since loud pop on a downshift; seemed like 3800-4000 is where i was seeing this. i imagine once we are out of break-in period (1200 miles) and start going into the 4700rpm ranges; burple and pops galore!!
@Galandel when in sport mode, do you have the shift indicators on your HUD like prev versions had? i'm not seeing it on my HUD but i'm wondering if its because i did some coding w/bimmercode app. its the lines on the outside of the rpm circle that get brighter and flash when you are at the 'right' shift point?
mystery solved! only happens when you are driving aggresively and above 4700rpm ranges. took several threads of reading but the indicators will show in 5000rpm+ rangs. makes sense why i haven't seen them and keeping under 4500rpms.
Been waiting on goodies for the Mini. Picked up new tires and wheels today. Waiting on 20 Locking Bolts to install. Also got Aeroblade Edge crossbars, Thule Motion XT XL Cargo Carrier, Thule roof rack with extension, two bike racks for the roof and 5 bags all Thule. I also got 16 locks with a one key system for all of it. I have received all but the Motion roof box, that is coming Thursday. Pictures as I get them.
TSW Avalons Gunmetal with polished Lip 18X8.5 42mm offset with Bridgestone Driveguard 235/50-18 97W Tires.
10mm extra width is all toward the outside with the offset change and though minor, makes a nice improvement with the
wider tire pushed out board some in the fender. Ended up almost 2lbs per wheel/tire lighter. The balance weights barely
clear the bigger front brakes, but wanted the weight savings over going to 19's, plus after driving it I didn't want to ride any
stiffer. I planned to put these on before I even ordered the JCW, hence why I went with the black wheels, (even though I
am not a fan of black wheels), but liked them better than the fugly 19" for 2020. So, this is why I am not going to black out
the belt line. I knew ahead of time I would have chrome front headlights, JCW badge trim, All4 chrome on the side, chrome
exhaust tips, silver muffler, and these wheels with the polished lips to all tie in to the chrome belt line. I also ordered the
roof box in titan gray which should go good with the color scheme.
THESE WHEELS ARE TOO SMALL FOR JCW FRONT BRAKES FOR 2020. Looking at alternatives.

Reason: Faulty Equipment
Went with 19X8.5 42 and 245/40R19 Same wheel and tire as before. wheel is 1 pound heavier, but tire is 1 pound lighter. So, still 1.5 pounds a piece lighter than factory 18X8 with 225/50R18
lovely pics of the new 2020JCW Countryman i have a question, with the new resar diffuser is it still possible to fit a towhitch to theses vehicles JCW not S or D models Cheers
