Programming a preset

Hi,
I have a 2017 F60 and I had the physical button #1 saved as the USB Stick so I could quickly get to the songs on the USB drive for my daughter. Recently the MINI dealer re-programmed parts of the car so the presets were all wiped out.

For whatever reason, I can't figure out how I was able to save the USB stick as Preset #1. Whenever I'm listening to the songs on the USB drive, I try holding down the #1 button and then after a couple seconds, it says "Unable to Save"
It works fine for saving radio channels but I can't get it to work for the USB drive. I've also clicked the media switch and highlighted "Samsung USB Drive" and holding down #1 button but that didn't work before.

Any tips and tricks? I did it before somehow...what am I doing wrong this time?

Thanks
-Jason

From what I recall it's not whether it can be a preset, but which area/screen in the Control Display you're on when saving. I had a similar issues with settings Preset 1 to Sport Displays.

Try getting to the USB Stick from different areas (Media, Vehicle Settings, etc.) and see which one will allow you to save the preset. Hope this helps!

I agree that it matters more where you are when you are trying to save - for example when saving an address for navigation, you may think it is while you are navigating to that destination, but no, it will only save when you have that address selected in your previous destinations.
