Sport Seat Discomfort - Please Help

Hi, purchased my 1st MINI (2018 Countryman) this weekend in Miami and drive it home to Orlando (4 hours). Having some serious buyers remorse because the driver’s seat was so incredibly uncomfortable! 🙁

The seat causes a lot of strain in my neck and upper back. Any suggestions for how to combat this issue? Thanks for any suggestions you have!

I assume you've tried adjusting the seat. Not sure what your issue is but they do sell lumbar supports, etc. In the past when I had back issues I'd use a pillow from my bed to make things better.

So is it positioning, lack of padding?

congrats LooLooFla on your new Mini! Its a great drive.
The seat has many adjustments. I spent a good amount of time setting mine up and saving it to settings. It also remembers it to your key fob. I still adjust my seat sometimes, depends on how I feel. Once you get it set, it is a comfortable seat and really holds you in place right.

You can't slide across the seat,( that's for sure) it grabs hold of your pants

Spend some time with it, trying different seat positions. We havn't had ours a year yet, but don't know how we got along without it. Rides good, eats up the miles, fun to drive and super easy to change the oil. Its a good car.
welcome to the Countryman forum !

Have a good one !

The seats definitely break in as well with these cars, so it may get better there as well.

I found the seat uncomfortable as well. I think it's more the driving position which is very high in this car vs the seat. Just play around with it... you will get used to it. It took me ages to find a good seating position in my S4 also (or perhaps it took ages for me to get used to them)... if you've been driving the same car for years and then change cars there will be a learning curve.
