I'm curious if anyone here has had a delay between production ending, and the vehicle being loaded on the boat.
Our 17 CM S was "production is complete and awaiting to be released to the carrier" since 5/6/17. I called Mini today and they had no further information, simply saying it doesn't look like it's been assigned a carrier yet and to call back later this week?
Placed my order on March 18, 2017 for the following:
2017 Countryman S
Midnight Black Body & Exterior Trim
Fully Loaded Package including Coldweather/Technology/Premium/Convenience
Packages
JCW Exterior
JCW Interior
Active Driving Assistant
Based on the information in this thread, it sounds like I will be waiting a few more months, sigh.........
So, after placing my order on Saturday, March 18th, I finally heard from the dealership about the status of my build. She went into production sometime over the last 3 weeks while my sales manager was on vacation in England, and projected delivery would be next month, June.
She sent me the VIN # along with the Design Specs......and it was wrong! I contacted her immediately to notify her of the error. I chose the Space Saver Spare instead of the Picnic Bench, which I would never use. The car is being built with the Picnic Bench.......now I wonder what happens???
New to this forum. Hoping to learn a lot. Used to be a Land Rover Defender guy, then became a Jeep Wrangler guy. The whole time I've been into Minis, but never pulled the trigger. This time I decided to start with a not so mini Mini:
2018 JCW COUNTRYMAN ALL4
Rebel Green
Chili Red Roof/Mirrors
Red Sport Stripes
8-Speed Sport Automatic with Paddle Shifters
Active Driving Assistant
Fully Loaded Package
Price As Built...$48,150 - I know, I'm spending way too much!
It is supposed to be here end of June or beginning of August.
Super Excited!

Frustrated!!
Worst case, they do have a spare tire retrofit kit available, though it is expensive, but perhaps you can convince them to pick up the tab since if it's their error. The picnic bench attaches via snap buttons so it's easy to remove if you aren't going to use it.

There was also a difference in the order numbers. The order number (a lower number) on the original paperwork given to me by the dealership, and the order number (a higher number) on the factory specs did not match, even though my name was on both documents.
I should hear something today. I don't feel that I should have to pay for the spare tire retro kit since I have a signed order opting for the Space Saver Spare instead of the Picnic Bench. This was clearly a factory error and should be corrected by Mini, one way or another.
I would be interested to hear from other Priority #1 customers who may have experienced similar situations?

Tracked my F60. Ummm the top date implies that it has been sitting at the dealership since last Thursday?! Anyone else seeing that? Or is that the date it got on the train?
Our new baby was completed on 2017.05.16; boarded Manon 2017.05.22; should be in New York on 2017.06.02 and then Baltimore on ??????
Not sure if it will be trained or trucked down.
Lucky! Ours was finished production on 5/6/17, and is still listed as "Vehicle production is complete, Waiting to be released to the carrier" both on the automated-phone system, and when speaking to Mini directly. They have no clue why it's taking so long, just that "it happens"....not very comforting tbh. :\
bummer...too late. Oh, well I'll have to use those savings on some cool Mini accessories or an extended maintenance/warranty program. It is probably better suited for that anyway.

Contact the dealer and ask for the status! They should know when it'll arrive at the dealer, if it's not there already.
Just placed a $1000 deposit to preorder a Countryman S E for the July build today and it will be expected in production in the 1st week of July. CarPlay is part of the pre-order and I heard that the mode year of Countryman (all models) built in or after July will be 2018. The MPG is 43 and Carplay won't be available for Countryman orders in or before June
I've wanted a mini for a while now, and finally last week drove home my 2017 Mini S Countryman ALL4 6 speed manual! Love it!
Even had to pick up an 8' rug at home depot the other day, and had no trouble fitting it! Love this car!
Yeah, Grayson stayed Scheduled for Production for the longest time too. Wasn't until two days after completion and waiting at Port did ML say awaiting transport.
Ethel departs Zeebrugge on the 15th arriving Baltimore June 27th on board the Integrity. Dealer said it is typically about 1 week until delivery form port arrival but we have a holiday in the mix so it could be a little longer.
I realized I hadn't posted to this thread yet! Our '18 is on order (Ordered back on the 3rd) and awaiting production (probably not till early July)! Hurry up and wait...
Plug all 17 digits of the Vin# in the cargo ID field. They load 3 ships this week so they hit here the last week of June. Everyone needs maximum lift for quarter end. Then schedule is bleak until 2nd week of July.
