I thought I was going to have several days before the Dragon to super clean and detail my MINI because I have taken two weeks vacation just for this event.
But NOOOOOO! the company I slave for has decided to adjust my vacation where now it starts on Wednesday so I'll have to drive up Tuesday after work...
So I guess I'll drag all my cleaning supplies up to Fontana with me and see how that works out.

What company would that be? I would have told them to shove it.

I put in for that whole week of 4 months ago so I would have time to detail both the minis before we left. My automatic reply is going to be something along these lines : "on vacation this week. Cell phones don't work where I am. Have a good day!"

It's the same company that has been lowering my salary for the last 10 years.
Our CEO is making 3 times the amount that they paid CEO's 20 years ago when I first started with them.

I put a final push on and finished the air horn upgrade that has been several years in the works. I just did a wash/clay last weekend and did lots of touch-up work on rock chips and other paintwork flaws. Next weekend has a good polishing scheduled with several coats of Zaino to follow soon.

Everything should be ready by MOTD 2008! :D

Painted my brake calipers and rotated the tires this weekend. Dr Evil just had his big check up, fresh oil, new rotors and pads on the front, well taken care of.

The only thing left is 8 hours of claying, polishing, and waxing. Then he'll be ready to goooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Dragoning !! See how I just made a verb out of a noun ??

Yep my baby is going to the dealership before the Dragon. I want to make sure everything is cool before the 11 hour drive. (It's time to go back to the dealership anyway). Now I just have to get my stuff together. Any ideas on the weather? Last year it rained the whole time I was there...

Still need to get new tires, clean up some curb rash, and clean, clean, clean. But first, it's gotta stop snowing here!

Installed a Texas Speedwerks carbon fiber engine damper today. Getting a new driver's seat base on Thursday (warranty) and brakes. Also getting a clear bra installed on the new aero bumper. New Kumhos on the way. Bonnett stripes on the way. Custom door sills on the way. Planning to clay, Swirl and Epic this weekend. After that I have a few little touches to add and some cleaning and polishing under the bonnett. Oh, and I need to sew my new patches on the jacket!

What kind of Nav unit do you have?
I don't think I could preprogram any routes in my Garmin without having to listen to "RECALCULATING" a thousand times before the dragon.

My MINI is far far away from being ready. My front subframe is sitting on the garage floor and my clutch is awaiting a new slave cylinder. The reason my subframe is off is because I just finished installing a new ClutchMasters clutch, flywheel, and Quaife LSD. Other than that I'm ready, lol.

You have to go to the 700 series line and then they give you the ability to save drives that you are planning to take and pick the roads that YOU want (read: twisty) and not the shortest or fastest way there. You can save up to 10 routes at once.

It isn't a feature that everyone would use, but I tend to organize several drives a year and they generally go along back-roads, not the highways that the Garmin would have chosen.

I've carry a spare in the boot... 2 years and I've already had it replaced twice! Is it on backorder? That is the kind of part that my local dealership holds in stock.

What exactly does a slave cylinder do and why has agranger replaced it twice?

I'm just asking because I'm not 100% happy with the way my clutch is working but the dealership says it is perfect.
