When I used to come here on vacation, I would stay in the Residence Inn. It's nice, but I just checked the price and it has gone up over $200/night .

I've also stayed in the Hilton Garden Inn right across the parking lot from it, which is very decent and much less expensive. Like $100/night. If you're willing to spend a little more, you might want to look into the Marriott's Manor Club in Ford's Colony. I haven't been inside, but it looks really nice.

 

Hi Everyone! So, i've been procrastinating and haven't booked my hotel yet. I just finished calling quite a few places in Williamsburg. I figured there might be more out there like me so i'll post what i've found. =) There are more hotels out there than what i've posted, i'm trying to stay on the cheaper end of things and this is what i'm finding. If anyone wants to know anything in more detail, PM me.

And last but not least, I couldn't find a correct phone number for the Ramada Inn on Richmond Rd where the special was originally running. If anyone knows what their prices are, please post for us.

 

The Ramada Inn closest to Rockahock (the event site) has a block of 50 rooms at $49/night for our event. Their address and telephone number are 6493 Richmond Road in Williamsburg (757) 565-1111. Based on the google map I looked at, they are right across the street (Route 60) from one of the outlet malls up there. You could literally party all day with us Mini folks and then shop until you drop and then crawl to your crib!

 

Thanks for the contact info. I'll give them a call tomorrow just to double check prices. Will i need to specific what we're there for, ie. tell them about GWR, to get the rate? I thought the 49/night was only reserved until like June 21st or something...

 

I knew I was forgetting something. Yes, tell them that you're with the Mini group and will be attending the GWR500. They are holding the rate until July 21st. If you have any problems, please ask to speak to Nick at the Ramada Inn. He is who our club President set things up with.
