I would like some input on sub-events for the GWR event. What do you folks think of...

1: Radio controlled Mini/MINI races? I bought an el-cheapo one on eBay while I was waiting on Tug to cross the pond and I've had a ball with it but my baseboards will never be the same... The races can be a small, timed autocross or drag races. The radio frequencies may mess up this idea though. Any interest or input?

Ok, so that's all I've come up with so far. I would love to hear your ideas!

 

Mabey, everyone would be up for a maxi picnic-everyone brings a blanket-some food( from a bag of cookies to casseroles-whatever anyone wants to bring-(paper plates-drinks-cups etc).. and we all have a massive meet & Greet Pic Nic in a field or something? kind of a pot luck supper kind of thing?

 

That is a great idea at a local meet ChiliBomb but a lot of the attendees are are driving hundreds of miles for this event so I don't think it would be feasible. I do appreciate your suggestion!

 

That was a stupid idea- it was late and I guessI was just trying to come up with something. I was racking my brain for Mini challenges, nomination awards, 1/4 mile racing, movie-drive in, rock n roll sock hop, just a few more to get the brainstorms rollin but your right- a picnic won't work!

 

A picnic thing would be a cool idea but there definitely be lots of people from lots of places. I'm coming from Maryland!

Sorry, fresh out of ideas here though. Wish i could be more creative...i'll work on it.
