Unhappy Timing chain tensioner

2015 All 4 S 71k - dealer is replacing timing chain tensioner - cold start noise. Should the chain be replaced at the same? Any other suggestions Oil has been charged routinely every 3 to 5 K. Service rep said this is not common problem on 2015s - problem was supposedly solved - obviously not!

If you’re at the dealer, part of the factory service involves measuring the timing chain for stretch. If it’s within spec, they just update the tensioner.
