So I'm wanting to replace the battery in my 2011 R60.. it has a non IBS cable so no registration is needed.. I did read somewhere that an OEM battery is made by Excide.. how true is this and are there any recommendations?

 

This may be to late for you. OEM battery is made by Excide. They cost more but I have had OEM batteries last 6-7 years in my BMW's. I recently replaced the battery in our 2012 All4 with one from NAPA auto parts. I have the ability to register the battery.
