Question Need help with base r60 grill.

Hey All! Im in need of some assistance. Last year I bought my first mini. A beautiful white base model r60 Countryman! Ive decided I wanted to take the grill with those grey slats and paint them black! my only problem is that I can't seem to find a way to take the grill out. I know about the 4 screws on top of it, but the two clips on the bottom corners are what really getting to me. I can't seem to find a way to move them. Any help would really be appreciated. Ive looked all over the forums and couldn't seem to find anything the topic. Thanks y'all!

Did you have a look on the MINI Countryman Real OEM site? Lots of diagrams there showing how things fit together

Pull slowly and firmly, but not savagely.

Start at one end and work your way to the other end.

the best/fastest way i found to remove the grill was to take a flat head screw driver & wedge in between one of the bigger clips on the end and lift it upward slightly while pulling the grill towards you . that usually gets the grill to pop right off for me. i've taken the grill off at least 5 times using this method & it works everytime. goodluck!
