2011 Countrymna S ?

Ok...
I own the R56 Cooper S N14 engine....145,000
I understand the headache of this thing...
Now I want to get a 2011 Countryman S...
What engine....and headaches will this thing have...?
Pro's....Con's anyone...
or is it the same headaches....the R56 has...
just trying to get an idea before I go buy...
anyones input to l0ok out for and stay away from...

countryman s has the N18 engine. since you dont have the All4 system, it is one less maintenance item.

The main things with N18 engine have been the thermostat housing, HPFP, water pump, turbo oil feed line, and the oil filter housing gasket...sounds much like N14 issues eyh! lol

In a strange way when I bought my 15' CMS I felt reassured that it basically had the same engine as my 07 and 08 MCSs. That I knew all the headaches that could possibly come and how to fix them. I never had any of the same problems or any problems for that matter but I wasn't scared of the unknown. LOL

I have a 2012 and *so far* only the turbo has let go and the water pump cracked (crack in plastic caused a small leak). I have 107k and both happened in the 90-100k range.
