Rear Seat Delete

So I never have anyone in the back seat, basically always have the seats folded down for either my bike or the dog. Thinking of removing them for ease and weight savings. Anyone else remove their seats (bench style) and have comments to the pros and cons they may have encountered? Is it louder in the car? How much weight did you lose? Do people suddenly want to ride in the back seat?
Thanks.

You will experience louder cabin noise when the seats removed.

I miss hearing the exhause in my R58 and R53. This cabin is just too quiet.

You will have an increase in road and exhaust(which I like) noise and I believe the removal of the seat and backs will save you around 36lbs.

Is 36lbs worth the effort? My exhaust at the moment is already borderline on the highway but will be changed in the near future. I do not plan any other weight reductions at this point as this is my daily.

I doubt you would notice. 36lbs is not a whole lot of weight savings. When I did my seat delete I added a MDF partition where the seat backs were and mounted a water/methanol reservoir on the boot side so any weight savings were offset by that.
