2012 Countryman - my "turbo is going"??

They said the computer is reading "Charging pressure control, pausibility pressure too low".

Fault code is 002C57

The dealer wants $3,600 to fix this. Anyone hear of this? The engine malfunction light went on and then stopped. I'm so sick of spending money on this unreliable car! 125,000 miles and always serviced at the dealer but nothing but problems. Advice appreciated.

Hi, I had the same problem with my Cooper S ALL4 from 2011. The code is related to a "Boost Leak". Here I've good news and bad news:

Good news, there's the chance that you have some pipe connected to the turbo that is cracked. So if you haven't checked them before, give it a try.

Bad news, i spent 8 months trying to tracking down a possible cracked pipe or a boost leak of any kind and found none. So yeah, the only culprit left was the turbocharger.

The only way to be sure is to remove the turbo and check the condition of the fans. I didn't waste more time and money on my old Countryman since it had 134.837 miles on it (but everything went smooth till the turbo started to fail like 18.000 miles before) and decided to sell it and buy a new Clubman JCW :D

If you know a mechanic that for cheap will take down the turbo, you can try to go that way and see the condition of the turbo, maybe there's a chance (very little) that you can repair or restore it.
