Any tips on what should be done?

Hello,

I am about a month into owning Hammond, my 2011 Countryman base model. It has 69,000 miles on it. Are there things I should be looking out for or should be prepping for? I know some years have little intricacies about them and I want the best for my Mini. Thanks!

No two Minis are the same, some are full of problems and some have zero. Just keep up with the prescribed maintenance schedule in your manual and you should be fine.

If you have the service history then post up whats been done. If you don't have history then all fluids might need to be done, air filter, cabin filter. If the car was properly maintained then less to worry about.

I don't have a service history unfortunately but the dealer I got it from did all the fluids over right before I bought it. I think I should check the filters though...good idea!

Thank you!

Did they check over the steering gear, ball joints, CV boots, suspension, strut tower bushings, brake pads and discs, compression check ?

they did the 60,000 mile on it they said but I have no proof. The brake pads and rotors are in good shape. They put new tires on the rear as well. The steering feels spot on and tight. The suspension is extremely firm and feels balanced.

I've got about 73,000 miles on my 2011 base Countryman auto so we're in a similar spot. I've followed the service requirements and haven't been surprised by anything to date. It sounds like yours hasn't been driven all that hard so it should be good for a while yet.
