Spark Plug Help Please

Hi everyone. I'm new here. My brother asked me to change his spark plugs for him while he's working out of town and I need some help one what's the best to order? It's a 2011 Countryman S. I think everything's stock except for a K&N Filter

NGK was best for my Honda but I'm seeing Beru are the OEM. Should I stick with these? On ECS Tuning they's a set for $38 and one for $98. Is there a difference?

I purchased some Densos locally but they need a hex socket and the only ones I can find are not thin walled.. so they're not fitting. I did pick up a 12pt thin wall so I'm either needing a new socket or spark plug. I'd rather order whatever is best at this point.

Sorry for the question. I did do some searching and it's not as clear as I was hoping for.

You may have checked this out already but this is a good information source.

Irduim and Platinum are both present in the Beru plugs the core is Irdium and the firing surface is platinum.

These engine are massively ignition sensetive. Plug, coil, and wire problems are common reasons for error codes.

Usually ECS and others carry the actual OEM MINI plugs as well as the same thing in the OEM manufacturer without the MINI branding or approvals. I went with the cheaper version and never had issues. So $38 would be my call.

Right. I went with NGK, 95770. Installation went easy but I was still getting a misfire on cylinder 2. I swapped the coil pack with cylinder 3 and the misfire went to 3.

So that mean stuff that coil pack is bad, correct? Spark plugs were over due so that wasn't a waste.

Which coil pack should I be looking for? If possible Amazon is best since they'll get here faster and free shipping. They only carry Delphi brand and from what I've read Bosch is OEM.

Delphi is OEM. You can see it on the upper MINI OEM part Boot. On the plugs one is OEM MINI and the other is the aftermarket Beru. Both made by Beru. Dont forget to get that 14mm socket for those special spark plug 12-point necks.

We have free shipping at $49 and above. Does not take much with some MINI parts to get to that.

Smile Misfire repaired

R60S 2012 with 80,000 miles began stumbling with the big check engine light. Replaced plugs, no change, replaced coil pac on #1, everything fine.
Wanted to thank ECS Tuning for their info on this forum, got the proper plugs and necessary 12pt socket from them in 3 days with free shipping.
The original plugs are 12pt so you need this tool to get started.
The old plugs were worn down to nubs, 80,000 was too long to wait.
