So a couple of weeks ago, I traded in a 2004 Cadillac DeVille for a 2013 MINI Countryman S ALL4. In addition, we have a 2008 Honda Odyssey. When I had the Caddy and the minivan in the garage there was about 6" clearance between the back of the vehicles and the garage door. Also there was JUST enough side clearance to be able to get out of the vehicles and kind of crab-walk up to the front and into the house.
Now we have the Countryman and sold the Caddy, I moved the minivan outside and unpacked my 1988 Chevy Z24 convertible out of winter storage today. We went from BARELY fitting in the garage to this. It's like we have a whole extra bay in there now!!!
Same here. I can actually walk around both cars. With the VW Passat that the Mini replaced had to mark the stopping point to make sure far enough in to close the door without hitting the car. Seems so strange as not only can I walk behind, but also to the passenger side with no problem. And to think, I still have the larger car.
