Removing S badge from grille

For all S owners or JCW owners, does anyone know how to remove the S/JCW emblem that is attached to the front grill? I think the car would look cleaner without that S badge hanging out on the grille...

You can take the grille off first by removing the four fasteners across the top. Then you can remove the "S" from the back. Looks like it may be a torx screw.

is there any way to remove the "S" emblem without even removing the grill?

Not sure that you can. Removing the grille is really easy once the hood is up.

Is the grill only retained by the 4 top screws on top? I read somewhere that the bottom parts are attached with som sort of clips. Could those clips break? Or do you think that it'll be fine?

No clips on a 2015. There are tabs but they just hold the bottom in place. They slide out once the screws are out. Go give it a try.
