Door Armrest Rattle

I have a rattle (actually, more like a vibration noise) in the passenger door armrest of my 2011 (photo below).

The pad doesn't seem to be loose, but when I press on it, the noise stops.

Is this easy to disassemble? Is it something I can remove, clean, and tighten? Any suggestions for attacking this problem?

Thanks!

I have this same problem in both my Countryman and my 2010 Cooper. No solution found yet.

Looks like its a molded into the door piece.

Otherwise you could see if a clip is loose on the back of the door card.

#8 or #4 or make sure #7 screw is tight.

Thanks for the responses.

I noticed that the driver side does it too, if I don't have my arm on it (which I normally do), so it seems to be a design problem.

I also thought about the fact that I never noticed this noise with the run-flat tires on, I think because there was so much other noise in the car. Now that the ride is much smoother and quieter with the Non-RFs, little things like this stick out more.

I guess I just have to turn the music up more.

I did find this thread on NAM here about the rattle and a possible solution. See if it may be useful to you.
