Extended Maintenance package

Hello,

So I have had a mini CountryMan All 4 since 2011. I got one of the first few they made. It has been running great. Yeah there were a few issues with the headlights (xenon) with the on board controller and most recently there as an oil leak. The former was covered under warranty and for the latter mini picked up the tab even though the car is out of warranty.

But it seems like i need new brakes currently only the front but the service guy said, I will need to replace the rear ones as well. Now mini brakes cost 700+.

So I was wondering if I should simply get the extended maintenance package and get the oil change etc done for the price I would get the brakes for.

I asked the service advisor for a quote and he mentioned like 2k. I was wondering if anyone has recently got this and how much did they pay for it.

Thank you.

I did my front brakes & rotors, sensor. $200 parts, 140 labor from my indy mechanic. Better components than OEM as far as I am concerned. Extended maintenance is a rip off compared to a quality indy shop if you can find one. The savings are shown vs. the overpriced services they generally offer.

Lucky you !! I really do not know of a good shop and I'm wary of those tire places that sell you brakes. I honestly do not know much about cars either. I'm like hey some warning light is on, lets make an appointment.

Also when they did those, did the computer recognize it that you replaced the brakes ? Or did they have to go in and do something with it.

I reset the service counter, takes a minute or so. See YouTube video for how! Maybe someone will recommend a shop for you!
