The only thing I can add is my first car was a focus and it was the biggest pile of junk - nothing but problems for the 5 years I had it. Finally traded it in with less than 50k miles, and up to that point I had encountered multiple $1000+ repairs. Luckily I had an extended warranty so little of that was out of pocket, but still.
