Part Differences between a JCW and a Cooper S engine

So to get the cooper S engine to produce 218hp, what are the parts that changed?

1. Turbos?
2. Intercoolers?
3. Spark plugs
4. Air filters?
5. what else?

Changing all these just like the JCW would give me 218hp?

Anything else to get to a 218hp? please advise as I'm planning to mod for more power.

Is the automatic gearbox same in a cooper S and a JCW? Will the standard one be able to withstand the 218hp and more torque?

Thanks.

If you're gonna do all that work, why didn't you just buy a JCW countyrman?

A tune will get the power out of all of those things once you add them.

It was 2011 when I bought the Countryman, There were no JCW's yet...

Or should I trade my ctm s into a JCW?

Then an ecu tune and all the mods will get me over 220hp easily? Would the automatic be able to withstand it?

thanks

The ECU remap will take care of your power increase needs without adding the other items. With the ECU remap you will want a better exhaust and maybe a CAI.
The tranny should be the same for either the S or JCW. Can't see Mini/BMW investing the $$ for a different one.
You could look at the Race Chip Pro on ebay. Supposedly has a 30%hp/20%torque increase.

Good luck.
