R60 New Countryman Boot Lid..
Haha! Was thinking of "erasing" it using the whole fish line trick... But the girlfriend and I may like it.
Can't wait to see some real-life pics of this! We're in production too and have 7-9 weeks left to go. SO LONG!!!

That's a good point and applicable to a whole HOST of items we post concerns about prior to delivery of our cars: you don't know how you'll feel until you experience it first hand.
There were a few of the pre-production cars that didn't have it. The Paceman that Classic had on display at the Cleveland autoshow didn't have the extra badging either...
Frankly, I am indifferent if mine has it or not. I saw 5 CM on our little road trip last Saturday and if I was any normal person, I would have thought it was just a "big MINI" because it doesn't have any badge. I ordered mine on 2/25 and it went into production on 2/28. Seeing as it came out of production on 3/9, I will be curious if it will have the new identification on the boot. There was no information about it when I ordered. I'm hoping to take delivery during the week of April 7 (fingers crossed!!)
Too busy in my opinion. Countryman is a big word on a smaller car, so it takes up the entire boot.
If Mini really wants to start labeling all their vehicles, I think there are better ways. Personally, I think it would be cool to have the word Countryman pressed into the metal on the top of the rear bumper...if that makes sense?? So if you were loading the trunk, when you look down on the bumper from the top, you would see the word. Just a thought.

I read somewhere that if you order boot stripes, there's no name badging on the boot. However, I have to say the badging is growing on me - especially on my Paceman. Hated the design originally, but I'm really starting to like it now...
MINI Baltimore has a Paceman (S/All4) sitting out front with the tramp stamp on the boot. It's actually not that bad. Maybe. Needs to have the Cooper "S" moved up to the beginning of PACEMAN.
If you haven't even gotten a production date you're getting the new badging. It was being implemented with the March productions, this isn't a MY 2014 change.
Yep, my husband and I saw a whole truckload of Countrymen with the boot badge here in Germany 2 weekends ago.
Odd, but on the Pacer I don't really mind it. On the Countryman, it looks a little odd. Those are foreigners, however. And truth be told, I have no stake in this. Y'all new people can sweat it out.
Sealy - Who's still OK with his plate frame.

I really don't think it looks that bad! I would be honestly happy to get the new badging. My CM started production on 2/28 and finished on 3/8 so I wonder what the final outcome will be..only time will tell. (I CAN'T WAIT!!

That's something: I've yet to see that badging with stripes from the factory. I wonder if they'll break the stripes horizontally as they do the Cooper lettering. I showed my wife the new boot and she was NOT a fan. Since I have to debadge in order to get the aftermarket stripes on anyway, she'll get a chance to see what she thinks later...
